Weekly Camps

Under the Big Top (June 6-10):  Come join us for some circus fun.  We will make several circus crafts throughout the week.  We will learn some circus tricks, put on our own circus show and even get our face painted like clowns!

Imagination Island (June 13-17):  We are going to use our imaginations this week to take us to far away lands.  Perhaps we will land in Fairy Tale Land where we will read different fairytale books, Make Believe Kingdom where we become prince and princesses and we may even meet a dinosaur or two along the way.  The only requirement for this week is that you bring your imagination with you!

Spectacular Sports (June 20-24): Get ready, get set…go!  This week will be full of high energy fun.  We will learn some basic sports skills, learn what it means to be a team, run relay races, run through obstacle courses and show off our team spirit by wearing our favorite team shirts and hats.

Kid’s in the Kitchen (June 27-July 1):  Watch out iron chefs here we come.  This week we will learn about food and how to make healthy choices.  We will also build our own snacks, learn how to measure and pour, learn proper table manners and even learn how to set the table!  Crafts will be centered around food themes and we will even write our very own cookbooks! 

Space Exploration (July 5-8):  This week we will travel to the moon and back.  We will explore the solar system, moon, stars and sun.  Crafts will be centered around our space explorations.  We may even be able to jump on the moon (or bounce on an inflatable).  We will be closed July 4th

Animal Antics (July 13-15):  This week we will learn about and have crafts centered around our favorite animals.  We will go deep into the jungle, out into the desert, exploring in Antarctica and into the deep blue sea searching for God’s beautiful creatures. 

Wild West and Camp Wilderness (July 18-22):  Giddy up horsy!  This week we will have fun learning all about the Wild West.  We will make our own horses to ride and we will dress up like cowboy and cowgirls.  We will also go on our very own camping trip right here at the preschool, learn some fun camp songs and enjoy a special camp favorite…smores! 

Creative Campers (July 25-29):  This week is perfect for the little artist.  We will express our creativity with special arts and crafts projects.  At the end of the week all our creations will be on display at the world renowned Grace Church Preschool Summer Camp Museum of Art.  You may even be able to take some of these priceless pieces of art home!  We will be visited by a local artist who will give us some pointers and a quick demonstration (on a preschool level of course!). 

Science and Nature Adventures (August 1-5):  This week we will do some hands on science experiments.  We will talk about the beautiful wonders of nature and go on a nature walk at a local park. The campers will enjoy a nature scavenger hunt.  We will have an on campus field trip by The Wonders of Science Program.  Our crafts and activities will be centered around God’s wonderful creation. 

Everyday Heroes (August 8-12): This week we learn about community helpers and everyday heroes.  We will dress up as our favorite community helper.  We will be visited by a fire truck and police officer.  We will learn about stranger danger and fire safety.  This weeks crafts and activities will be centered around these heroes and being safe. 

Music Makers (August 15-19):  Attention all young musicians this is the week for you!  We will listen to different types of music.  We will learn new songs and add movements to them.  We will make our own instruments and have a visit from a real musician.  We will also have a short program at the end of the week for the parents to enjoy!

Surf’s Up/Hawaiian Hullabaloo (August 22-26):  We are going to wrap up summer camp Hawaiian style.  We will have crafts and games centered around fun at the beach.  We will make our own flower leis and have a luau to end the week.  We will have a Hawaiian word of the day and lots of fun in the sun and sand!                

**On Fridays we will have pizza and water play day.  So please make sure to send a bathing suit, towel and sunscreen every Friday**
