Three Year Old Classes

What the Kids are Learning

Our 3-year-old program includes activities which will prepare children for future academic success.  

  • Our phonics-based literacy curriculum, Letterland, teaches letter recognition (upper case and some lower case).  Letter sounds will be introduced.  To learn more about Letterland, click here.
  • Activities are designed to help children in developing writing readiness skills, eye-hand coordination, visual perception as well as listening and thinking skills. 
  • Math concepts include understanding number concepts 1-15, number recognition, and counting. 
  • Science will be introduced in the 3-year old class.  Hands-on activities will help children to think critically and gain confidence in their own ability to solve problems. Children will use activities to explore, discover and share observations. 
  • Literature is taught weekly along with the letter of the week to help with story recall, sequencing, fact and fantasy

 Offered:  Tues & Thurs  9:30 - 1:30

3 Year Old 3 Day Class
 Offered:  Mon/Wed/Fri 9:30 - 1:30

5 Day Option
  Some of our 3 Year Olds opt to enroll in both classes, attending Monday - Friday.  

Other Information

Children bring a snack and lunch from home daily.  

Ideally, children entering the 3 year old class will be potty trained.  However, we realized that your 3 year old may have their own ideas!  We ask that they be fully potty trained by the sixth week of school.  Pull-ups are acceptable during this six week period.  No diapers, please!

The 3 Year Old classes are for children who are 3 years old by August 31st.
