​4 Year Old Classes

What the Kids Are Learing 

Our 4-year-old program includes activities which will prepare children for Kindergarten.  
  • Our math curriculum includes number recognition and concepts (up to 20), counting, number writing, one-to-one correspondence, recognizing and extending patterns, and beginning addition.
  • Our phonics-based literacy curriculum, Letterland, teaches letter recognition and formation (upper and lower case), sounds and foundation of vowels (long & short), and consonants.  Frequent read-alouds aid in story recall, sequencing, making inferences, and predicting.  For more information on Letterland, click here.
  • Science activities are hands-on experiences that encourage observation, predicting, testing predictions, and drawing conclusions.  
  • Students are encouraged to become independent critical thinkers and problem solvers.


*Note:  The Older 4 Year Old/5 Year Old Class follows the same basic scope and sequence as the other 4-year-old classes, but may move at a more rapid pace and include additional skills.

4 Year Old 3 Day Class 
 Offered:  Tuesday - Thursday  9:30 - 1:30

4 Year Old 5 Day Classes
 Offered:  Monday - Friday  9:30 - 1:30

Older 4 Year Old/5 Year Old 5 Day Class
 Offered:  Monday - Friday  9:30 - 1:30


Other Information

Children bring a snack and lunch from home daily.


Children entering the 4 Year Old classes should be age 4 by August 31st and be fully potty trained.

These classes are for children who are 4 years old by August 31st.  The Older 4s class is for children who will turn 5 before January 31st during the school year.
