When do you begin registering for the next school year?
We open registration to our currently enrolled families during the first week of January for the upcoming school year (that starts in September). During the second week of January, we have an Open House where we open registration to the public. Check our calendar for dates.
What is Mother's Morning Out?
Our Mother's Morning Out classes could really be called our One Year Old classes. They are for babies who are one year old by August 31st. We give the kids a lot of one on one attention, as there are 5 babies and 2 teachers in the class. There's no academic focus, just play and fun! We offer one and two day options.
Is there a waiting list?
Yes. The link to be added to our waiting list is on our home page, along with a notation on any openings we may have at the moment.
Does it cost anything to be on the waiting list?
No. We won't charge you anything unless we have a spot to offer you.
When does your summer camp registration open?
We should have our summer camp registration open by the beginning of February. Click here for more info on summer camp.
Do you follow Wake County's school calendar?
We build our calendar around Wake County's traditional calendar, meaning we share the same days off for holidays and teacher workdays. However, we do not follow Wake County for weather closings. We make our determination based on local conditions and the impact Wake County closings will have on our staff.
What are your tuition rates and fees?
Please click here to see a list of our current classes with tuition rates. Our registration fees are listed there, as well.
Do you take field trips?
We do! Mostly, our field trips are reserved for our 3s and 4s classes. We encourage the parents to join us on our field trips and help us transport the kids. In the past, we have gone to a pumpkin patch in the fall, strawberry picking, puppet shows, and NC Farm Days. We also have a fire truck come visit us in the fall and we typically have High Touch High Tech come do a in-house science-based field trip during the year!
Do you have any special events at the preschool?
Yes! We have bike days in the fall and spring, where the kids can bring their bikes or scooters and ride around the parking lot together. We have Thanksgiving feasts with our classes, along with other holiday classroom celebrations! At Christmas, we have a big Christmas program that we invite our families to attend! We celebrate our moms and dads in the spring with our Muffins for Mom & Donuts for Dad event. Our 4 year old classes have an end of the year picnic together at a local park. And to celebrate the end of the school year, we have a big Graduation program for our families!
What security measures do you have in place at the preschool?
We keep our doors locked during the day when kids are present. There are cameras on the doors, as well. Access to the building is very limited when kids are in school. We have a ring doorbell located to the right of the front door, should you need access during the school day. There is also a local Cary policeman who parks his patrol car in our parking lot when he is off duty.
Do you you require regular childhood vaccines for the children? Do you accept religious exemptions?
We do require the standard childhood vaccines, not the COVID vaccine, for our students. Exemptions are at the sole discretion of the Director, usually for medical reasons.
Do you require the kids to wear masks?
No. We believe that is a choice for parents to make. We will not require children to wear masks. If the parents choose to have their children mask at school, we will support the parents in that decision.
Do you require your staff to be vaccinated?
While many of our staff are vaccinated, we do not require this. Also, we will not divulge a staff member's vaccination status or guarantee that your child's teacher is vaccinated.
When is tuition due?
Tuition is due on a monthly basis (October through May) and is paid one month in advance. Tuition for September is due June 1st. Tuition is assessed monthly, regardless of how many days in the month school is in operation.
